The Community Resource Center works closely with the social service
agencies of West Marin, so it plays an important role in the community.
We also work with the West Marin Family Center and West Marin
Ecumenical Services. We service the West Marin communities of
Tomales, Marshall, Point Reyes Station, Olema, Inverness, Bolinas,
Stinson Beach and the San Geronimo Valley communities of Lagunitas,
Forest Knolls, Woodacre, and San Geronimo.
Our multi-faceted program includes:
- Volunteer recruitment and referral for local non-profit agencies
- Distribution of services to the community through partnerships
with the Marin Food Bank, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross,
and Community Action of Marin
- Coordinates the Disaster Preparedness Project
- Coordinates special community projects
- Other community activities
We work with all the local nonprofit agencies and recently
became a member in the Collaborative for Healthy Children. Our
activities increase the capacity of nonprofit organizations to
deliver their services by effectively attracting and managing
skilled volunteers.
